A new Saturn-Pluto cycle formed at 22 Capricorn on January 12, 2020; the Saturn of restrictions merged with Pluto of plagues in the cold harshness of Capricorn. That day the Sun at 21 Capricorn and Mercury at 23 Capricorn joined the new cycle and focused the energy of the cycle.
That same day, China made the genetic sequence of a novel coronavirus available to the World Health Organization as Uranus of genetics was stationary. China claimed there was “no clear evidence of person-to-person transmission.”291 (more on transits to nation charts)
The cluster of the Sun, Mercury, Saturn and Pluto was conjunct the Paris Jupiter at 22 Capricorn and square the Paris Venus at 24 Capricorn. There had been a Lunar eclipse two days earlier at 20 Cancer in opposition to the new cycle. (More on Eclipses)
The Sun, Mercury, Saturn and Pluto were square the Federal Neptune of secrets at 22 Libra and in opposition to Jupiter at 19 Cancer 58 as Uranus was stationary at 02 Taurus to square the Federal Uranus at 01 Leo.
The dispositor Venus was at 28 Aquarius conjunct the Federal Mars of infection at 28 Aquarius with transiting Mars emphasized at 06 Sagittarius to oppose the Federal public at 04 Gemini.
On both the Paris and Federal charts Jupiter was engaged with the cluster of planets. (more on keywords)
Three days later, President Trump signed a trade deal with China meant to curb abuses of intellectual theft.292 Transiting Sun at 25 Capricorn, Saturn at 23 Capricorn and Pluto at 22 Capricorn opposed the Declaration Mercury at 24 Cancer as transiting Mercury at 28 Capricorn was conjunct the Declaration Pluto at 27 Capricorn, a double whammy of Mercury and Pluto.
Mars at 08 Sagittarius was in opposition to the Declaration Uranus at 08 Gemini with Uranus stationary, an aspect more often associated with the conflict of war.
That same day the House chose impeachment managers for the Senate trial of President Trump with Chiron in opposition to the Midheaven. The war was over the president putting a hold on the Pentagon and the State Department sending almost 400 million to Ukraine.
On January 30, 2020, the World Health Organization declared the coronavirus a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. The head of WHO praised China for its transparency and handling of the virus, as ‘a new standard of outbreak response’, even though millions of people had left Wuhan and infected the world.293
On March 11, 2020, the WHO announced the virus was a pandemic. President Trump announced Proclamation 9994 two days later at 1:12 pm, declaring a national emergency with Mercury stationary direct at 28 Aquarius conjunct Federal Mars at 28 Aquarius. Both transiting Mars at 18 Capricorn and Jupiter at 21 Capricorn would aspect the Federal Neptune at 22 Libra and the Federal Jupiter at 19 Cancer. March 16, 2020, marked the beginning of ‘15 days to slow the spread’ as fear of this unknown virus became the perfect opportunity to destroy the American economy by locking down the country.295

Mercury stationary was a return to the March 11, 1941, signing of the Lend-Lease Act and to the March 9, 1862, battle of the ironclads between the Confederate and Federal naval forces. The extreme pressure on the public as the lockdown wore on long past the expected duration was intensified by the emergence of tyrannical officials and bureaucrats. The Saturn-Pluto desire for total control was on full display as the technocrats arose and grasped power in every way they could. The goals changed from preventing overwhelmed hospitals, to the number of cases reported, then to arbitrary percentages vaccinated.
