Early Colonial Mundane Charts

The Pilgrims came to America in 1620 for religious freedom and self-government under the rule of law.39 The foundational chart of the Pilgrims disembarking signified this point with Jupiter conjunct Pluto, both at 11 Taurus. Jupiter at 11 Taurus 24 was in stationary orb and was very slow before it turned direct fourteen days later at 11 Taurus 02. For more on stationary returns and stationary orbs.

The Pilgrim Ascendant, Moon, and North Node were all in the Jupiter ruled sign of Sagittarius.
Thirty years after they landed, a Uranus-Neptune cycle formed in 1650 at 16 Sagittarius 11 conjunct the first house Pilgrim North Node at 16 Sagittarius 38. The first house in mundane astrology is the nation's self-image, nation's traits, and characteristics of the population.

The North Node goals were energized as the Uranus-Neptune cycle conjunction intensified the desire for the individual liberty and freedom of Uranus together with the collective idealism of Neptune to comprise the American dream with an optimistic spirit of creative invention.

As the Uranus-Neptune cycle energies were infused into the North Node goals, Uranus was further emphasized as the transiting Sun at 28 Capricorn opposed the Pilgrim Uranus 01 Leo.

Transiting Lilith was at 01 Gemini with transiting Chiron at 01 Virgo which added a fierce determination to never submit and embattled to the Pilgrim Moon at 02 Sagittarius and the Pilgrim Chiron at 01 Pisces with Pluto opposing the Ascendant. Perhaps the Uranus-Neptune conjunction made a unique mark on the nation.

The Magna Carta is considered the foundation of liberty and the system of justice in England that would later be the basis for the Bill of Rights. The relevance was often referenced in colonial America to warn against the governmental abuse of power.40

The Magna Carta chart by Ralph Kraum and Earnest A. Grant had the ingress of Uranus at 00 Libra conjunct the Ascendant of 02 Libra which exemplified liberty. Uranus of liberty in the first house of the masses was square both the Sun of leaders and Venus of peace at 00 Cancer conjunct the Midheaven of the tenth house of government with Jupiter of justice in stationary orb.41

The Pilgrims arrival to America four hundred and five years later had the expedition Uranus at 01 Leo in opposition to the Magna Carta Moon of homeland at 00 Aquarius.

The Pilgrim Sun at 00 Capricorn and the Pilgrim Midheaven at 00 Libra aspected the emphasized Magna Carta Uranus at 00 Libra and both the Magna Carta Sun and Venus at 00 Cancer in the goal of freedom.

Comparing the chart of King William's crowning to the start of Parliament there was a double whammy of Mars and Neptune.42

The Republic had Uranus at 13 Sagittarius and Neptune at 14 Sagittarius to square the Saturn of the established with both Uranus and Mercury stationary.43

The Glorious Revolution had a stationary Saturn and the Great Britain chart of 1707had Mercury and Pluto stationary.44 Great Britain Uranus of change was square the Glorious Revolution Saturn as the Sun at 20 Taurus was conjunct and emphasized Uranus at 19 Taurus.
Stationary Jupiter at 17 Aquarius opposed the joined Magna Carta Chiron at 19 Leo and Pluto at 20 Leo, particularly relevant for the ascension of a king as the Magna Carta was to rein in the monarchy and limit abuse of power. The transiting Saturn at 22 Pisces 45 exactly opposed the Magna Carta Saturn at 22 Virgo 45.45

King George III coronation was on September 22, 1761, with the crown reportedly placed on his head at 3:30 pm at Westminster.46 The Sun at 26 Scorpio was conjunct the coronation Midheaven at 26 Scorpio with the stationary Neptune in square on the ruling that led to the eventual loss of the American colonies with the king the focus of the anger.

The coronation Uranus at 07 Aries was square the Glorious Revolution Mars at 07 Capricorn with Mars, Uranus and Chiron of battle emphasized. (more on emphasized planets

The first Congress met as transiting Pluto and the transiting Mars would aspect the Mars Neptune square in the Great Britain chart of 1707.47 There was a Solar eclipse that day with both Jupiter and Uranus stationary retrograde.
The close orbs of the Pilgrim Ascendant and Midheaven to the 5:10 Declaration angles in addition to the planetary contacts are why I personally choose that version and it certainly looks like a 'divorce' chart.48

T
he Declaration announced the intention to end the relationship with Britain. It would take seven years for America to finally attain the desired legal standing.

Britain and America came to agreement eventually and signed the Paris Peace Treaty for the full legal independence of the United States. There were three planets in stationary orb to make a deep impression, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn and a double whammy of the Sun and Uranus of freedom. (more in-depth)

Four years after the Paris Treaty the Constitution was signed with a double whammy of The Sun and Mercury conjunctions. Federal government began on March 4,1789, Philadelphia, PA at 00 am.49
